In September 2017, Chinese brand Vivo launched the V7+ smartphone in India. The Vivo V7+ is the world's first smartphone with Snapdragon 450 SoC, and the company is now all set to introduce second Snapdragon 450 smartphone, the Vivo V7. As the name itself suggests, the Vivo V7 will be a watered-down version of the V7+.
Last week, Vivo sent out media invites for an event to be held in India on November 20. The invite even had a smartphone with a single rear camera and fingerprint scanner, which indeed is the Vivo V7. Before the official launch in India, the company will launch the smartphone in Indonesia on November 16.
Ahead of the official launch, complete specifications of the Vivo V7 have leaked online. A couple of images of the smartphone are leaked as well. As per the leaked images, the Vivo V7 features a similar design as the bigger V7+, but it will feature a smaller display. The V7 is expected to come with a 5.7-inch HD+ display, as opposed to the 6-inch display seen on the Vivo V7+.
Hardware specifications of both the phones will be pretty much similar. The Vivo V7 will be powered by the Snapdragon 450 SoC and comes with 4GB of RAM. However, storage in the Vivo V7 will be just 32GB, whereas the V7+ arrived with 64GB of internal storage.
The highlight of the Vivo V7 will remain the same 24MP selfie camera, which in fact was also the highlight of the V7+. The V7 will also come with the same 16MP rear camera as seen on the V7+.
Vivo might release only a single variant of the Vivo V7. Lastly, the phone is said to come with a 3000mAh battery, slightly smaller battery when compared to the V7+. This upcoming smartphone will also boot FunTouch OS 3.2 built on top of Android Nougat.
The Vivo V7+ is priced at Rs. 21,990 in India. With a smaller display, lower storage, and smaller battery, the Vivo V7 might cost Rs. 18,990 in the Indian market. However, we don't have any pricing information available as of now.
