Reliance Communications(Rcom) India’s 2nd largest telecom operator has rationalized and come to hike their most popular SMS special tariff vouchers.
Reliance Mobile (CDMA and GSM) users now have to pay more to get 1p/SMS and 500SMS/day. 1p/SMS pack, previously priced at Rs 11 is now priced Rs 19. And Reliance’s 500 SMS/day targeted to high SMS users is now priced Rs.39, hike from previous too cheap Rs.25 per month. For users in Delhi circlehas to pay more than other circles, 1p/SMS will cost Rs 26 and 500SMS/day is now Rs 56.
It is obvious that RComm has to increase the SMS Pack cost as most operator is pricing more than Rs 50 for unlimited SMS Pack. The unlimited SMS pack comes with a FUP of 500 SMS per day. Inspite of Reliance’s hike in price of these STVs, Reliance’s SMS pack is still cheapest in market.

I am facing the activation of sms pack of both 39 and 14. To deactive it I send DACT sms39 and dact sms 14 to 53739 individually but the reply that comes from 53739 is “Dear subscriber,your request could not be proceeded. Please try again. We regret the inconvenience. Reliance.” So I tried for too many times but the reply comes from 53739 was the same. Each month I get automatically renew of both 39 & 14 and this amount get deducted from my account balance even I want to deactivate it. This is not working. Please help me. Please.

Really a poor service from reliance.My 1p/sms pack is activated on my no but every month i have to call the customer care for the renewal of the pack and then after 3-4days the pack is renewed and that also with lots of trouble faced.

Here in Karnataka Aircel is Quite Excellent in Coverage. But Coming To The Part Of Quality it is Bad. They are Covering at a Rapid Pace Here. But I’m Feeling Very Bad That Aircel is Having Poor Coverage in A.P. But Coming To The Part Of Uninor, Uninor is Worst in Karnataka and A.P. I am customer of karnataka circle. I just done the top up of 55 (on 15th feb 2012).
Here at your official recharge website its showing that customer will get main balance of :47.86 and promo balance of 7.13 .
But actually all the balance I got is PROMO ……and no core balance I got…..and its valid for 7 days only.
When contacted CUST. CARE @ 198 they said that what you recharged with Rs 55 actually gives PROMO BALANCE only and no core balance…..
they also said that there is wrong update over our recharge website for this Rs 55 top up.
And that wrong update is like:—-
MRP (Rs.) 55
Admin Fee (Rs.) 2
Service Tax (Rs.) 5.1
Regular/Core Talktime (Rs.) 47.86
Addl/Promo Talktime (Rs.) 7.13599274705349

I just want to give one e.g..(which I faced 6 months back on the same no. when I recharged online of Rs 25 (@ YOUR WEBSITE).. just to get the core talktime.
But actually Rs 25 pack was for STD CALLING PACK….still the wrong info is showing on ur website….no correction till the date .
Fact:–
For top up/recharge of Rs. 25 …..customer gets actually some “STD pack” while still after 6 months your website is showing wrong info, as customer will get some core balance of 19.67……..How funny?????:

i think reliance gsm is best in delhi circle, becoz plan are very good ,all plan like sms ,gprs also worked in roaming thats a plus point and net speed is better then other telecom servises . I m using gsm since its launched i knw some time there is temp.network problem but mostly its working fine , i dont have need to make calls in custumer care becoze i have never seen a wrongly balance dedaction from my acount . I m fully satisfaied with relaince gsm servise

The increase in tariff for SMS pack is ok, but “simply pay per Call” & “simply pay per Minute” are not for life time, they are just for one year tariff plan. why this was not annouced by RCOM earlier? even the retailer are also dont know about this.

The increase in tariff of Rs25 SMS pack to Rs39 is expected, as many will go for that plan, instead of daily rental one and save money..

Reliance extend it’s Rs11 pack i.e 1p/sms (2 months) for existing subscribers.
I mean who r already subscribe Rs11 pack (auto renewal) their Rs11 cut down from balance next two times.
After that Rs19 will be deducted.
So enjoy 1p/sms next two months.

Sirf Delhi mein rate aur jayda hike kyo kiye…39/month bhi jayda nhi the but delhi ke liye Rs.56/month… Delhi ke lite itne rate bada dia…Sayad Delhi walo ne Kafi sms kar diye jo unke liye Rate aur hike kiye hai…I am very Disapppointment becoz m from also delhi…:(
lagta hai Reliance Ab 2 se 3 weeks baad Airtel jitne Rate le aayega…Rs 88/month Unlimited SMS…

Kuch nehi hoga, till it’s cheap compared to other network.People who send few sms in day 1paisa/sms is still best for them.As like RS/-19+20 sms for 30 days= 25 cheap than anyone.

Same was the case in Assam when they introduced lifetime plan along with r to r calls free for lifetime. After 1 month they withdrawn it and there was chaos.
Reliance is really a big thug.

Reliance had did it in the past and suffered for it.They withdrew a lifetime plan and angry customers damaged their many showrooms in West Bengal.Reliance dont have any credibility.

Such indiscriminate & unfriendly decisions are synonymous of Reliance’s loss of trust amongst customers! Whether they strive for 100 mln sub base more in 1000 days; it wd be pure junk base like there existing 100 mln!

It is obvious that RComm “has to increase” the SMS Pack cost as most operator is pricing more than Rs 50 for unlimited SMS Pack…
what tt is contemplating? others can force rel to decrease price but others cant force them to increase it.

It is an open fact that service providers always come “carrot and stick” policy. First they show something and after few days when subscribers joint the bandwagon they show their true colors ! I am sure that TRAI should now interfere. According to cost estimate the cost for sms works out to less than 1 p sec. But almost all including BSNL nd MTNL too are not listening. “Making hey when the sun shines”., IT is high time that MNP is introduced so that these service providers can be put on tender hook !!

i guess night packs cost are also going to be increased,, this is old policy of reliance to hike price of its product after it gains momentum,, in bihar circle vodafone unlimited sms pack cost 26 without any fair usage policy,, send as much sms as u wish

This hike is already come into effect from 24/4/2010. Yesterday I called the Customer Care, they told this matter.Please note that the daily rental plan had escaped from this hike and it is same in all circles including Delhi. So better to move with daily rental pack. It is the cheapest that is Rs.30 for 1 month to get 15000 sms per month. My advice to Delhi customers is to change your sms plan to daily pack because it is cheapest plan for them.

Reliance mb really has given a shock to its users. If reliance is increasing sms charge like other operators then they should also bring down the tarrif of unlimited data uses like airtel and aircel just at 98 for 30 days but reliance gprs unlimited at 299. Am i right?
