Agnivo :To those thinking why MTS topped in WB and Kolkata, I think it has entered these circles earlier than others, and people especially from rural bengal have taken up their cheap low end handsets bundled with great tariffs… and amazed by their lifetime tariffs and good service, they have spread the word as usual.
Best of luck to MTS… I too hope MNP comes timely and I can migrate my virgin number to them (my mom uses a MTS though).

MTS came in West Bengal after Tamilnadu.

I would also like to buy mts once it will launch in city.

Only for one reason that it’s CDMA network
ofcourse anather reson is cheapest tariff.

i deduce Mts is all set to offer all local calls at 30 p/min for life time in every circles after fully launching its service across india…. they might be afraid about imitating their offer particularly reliance so that they are not offering the same offer in every circles…. some of offer are so high than comparing even to any gsm mobile operators…..like of rs 49 per month to getting all local calls 30 p/min…..
expecting once Mts completes its launching across india, will provide the cheapest offer in india than reliance….

MTS offer some nice VFM CDMA handsets… Lack of such handsets is the main reason for the today’s condition (good offer, good network, but NOT huge success it deserves) of Tata Indicom…
