The Union Minister of Communications & IT Mr. Kapil Sibal with Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Minister of Haryana as the Chief Guest will inaugurate the service at a function in Rohtak at 3 p.m.

BSNL is the first telecom operator which has announced its offers for MNP. According to the BSNL offer the MNP Port-in charges shall be waived off for all subscribers who Switch to BSNL.

3. Customer should be asked for an alternative number and desired FRC (2G/3G etc.) and record on BSNL/Porting CAF for future use.

4. Customer will be given a virgin SIM. On this virgin SIM, his number will be created afterwards. It is to be informed to the customer that after 72-96 hours or on getting SMS he/she may insert the SIM in the mobile and dial ‘123’ to activate BSNL services.

5. CCN person will complete the required entries in Fx GUI, mention type of FRC in the prescribed field and fire order for creation of new port-in number using MSISDN, IMSI, UPC etc.

6. SIM will be created after minimum 72 hours (assuming it is approved by the port-out operator) and maximum 96 hours.

8.Before activation of the BSNL services, there will be an interruption/ transit time of around 2 hours i.e. subscriber will not be getting services of any operator.

Please take a note that BSNL doesn’t provide its services in Mumbai and your BSNL no will get latched onto MTNL Mumbai and you are going to be charged excessively for roaming on partner network.

Connection is not being port .

BSNL Ka Working System Aisa Hai, Ki Wo Jan Bujh Kar Port Nahin Karna Chahte

Unki Process ke liye 15 Din bahut Kam Hai,

BSNL Must Allow to Undergo 30 Days Process for 90% Success Chance For MNP

I made ported my BSNL prepaid mobile No. 9473438133 to Airtel in January 2012, it worked some day (10days) and I got a message that the required document had not been submitted and thus the sim was deactivated, I submitted the required documents to restart the same and the sim restarted and worked for a week upto March 24, 2012 and after that day the sim was permanently blocke without any message/notice. In order to restart the service, I have contacted at Patna office of Airtel, Customer care officer of Airtel so many times but all they failed and did not resolve my problem and still pending.
I, therefore, request all consumers not to port their BSNL no. to any other networks since there are no such representative or offices to hear your complains except BSNL which have offices all districted of state and also BSNL have senior most excutive to resolve the matters.

I can understand your concern. But reality is different. We, in our family have sims of almost all the players including BSNL and MTNL (both in halfway roaming mode- Resides in BSNL area and working in MTNL area!!!). All the sims are used taking into economic considerations and remember definitely nor carried away by ads ! Please understand pvt ops have not stolen but utilized the weakness and callousness of the men at the helm. So whom to blame ?

Very acerbic comments appear here on pvt and psu services…! Both have different policies and priorities. pvt CEOs and EOs are accountable to the managements and want results on revenue front else preprinted PINK-SLIPS await for them. As for PSUs no one is accountable and managements and unions are up-in-arms leaving the subscribers high and dry. The results are obvious – revenue loss (MNP….?). Even their tariffs are revised arbitrarily time and again . Remember nobody is answerable here and instead of pink-slips, promotions are guaranteed in any case.

Common man already pay up through their nose in various forms of taxes, surcharges, levies, toll, etc. etc. and therefore can not expect the rendition of “jai dev, jai dav, jai mangal moorthy” before the white elephants, be it in any forms of PSUs.! As for them competitive spirit is lacking and so a mere and simple existence as a catalyst is counterproductive ..!

Moral – Please don’t mix patriotism and preference !

    Dear Mr.Vijay,
I hope you are a DOCOMO employee.. or whatever.. But its extremely terrible that you take time to use such foul language on the National service provider..
Its true BSNL is having problems, mainly on customer service, which is associated with all other Public Sector companies.. The reason behind poor policies and procedures are the ugly tactics of its own top brass including the Govt, whose intentions are to boost up private operators and fill their pockets..
No customer has been treated like dog by BSNL.. if you had such an experience, its your incapability to deal with the system and willingness to act as a dog..As a public enterprise BSNL has no intention to cheat its customers because its profit becomes the dividend of common public and not the Mittals or Tatas..
It shows ur extreme ignorance that u made the most foolish reference about not able to track landline calls..
one thing i need to say is the presence of a national operator is absolutely necessary to safeguard the public interest and BSNL is still the national telecommunication backbone of India..

    Hello

Any one to give a patient hearing??????
I have been a customer of Reliance telecom since 10 years.
Expecting a benefit from BSNL and easy connectivity and connectivity
with family members who have BSNL Cell one plans i opted to switch my
provider to BSNL and submitted all papers along with my photograph address
and Id proof at BSNL office at HUDA complex ,Tarnaka Hyderabad on 24 th Jan 2011
They have immediately provided me a new SIM . Hoping the same will be activated
within 2 days as they claim i for got the matter and allowed BSNL to take their
own time. To my surprise till date my SIM is not activated and I am without my
most used mobile phone for last 17 days.

    Some interesting developments in between:

I approached the incharge of the office about a week ago. He along with his staff were extremely courteous and cooperative to give a patient hearing to my problem and did their best to redress my grievance. Finally the officer told about the TECHNICAL MISTAKE that occurred and categorically informed that my new SIM will be activated in next 24 hours.
    WILL IT HAPPEN???

I know pretty well the mistake did not occur at the office level
but as you all aware whose callousness it is and how.

I only wish to highlight the attitude at technical level of BSNL.
WILL THEY EVER TRY TO IMPROVE???

BSNL is the poorest service provider in South-India. Most of the employees are extremely lethargic to service customers. They treat customers like dogs. Now, these idiots are luring customers with money. This is as good as bribing to join the BSNL.

Remember all of you, you will be harassed if you join BSNL. For sure!! Join Tata Docomo. I know what the pain had been with BSNL. BSNL has poorest policies and procedures, always hate work, Big Time cheaters, responsible for the poorest. Its almost 5 decades still there is no way to track BSNL landline calls. Pathetic Service!! I am not talking about the service., I am talking about the beneficiaries of the money we are paying to BSNL. Once rewind old news papers., the loss for BSNL(first time in history) is around 300 crores & the additional burden on BSNL for revising(increasing) their employees salaries is 500 crores. If the salary revision is not there BSNL will be in 200 crores profit. Did you ever saw any organization which given hike to its employees although it is going into losses. I saw one report which say that 2/3 rd of Workforce are additional burden to BSNL.

have you ever think about why bsnl went to loss. The total profit after tax of bsnl in 2006-2007 was 7805 cr. in 2007-08 it was 3009 cr. in 2008-2009 it was 574 cr.
after this can you say the loss in the last financial year was due to the revision of salaries.

You are right. BSNL works like a multinational company in Kerala but not everywhere. Anyone can experience this in Kerala.

Because in kerala bsnl have so many user friendly plans in postpaid and prepaid, bsnl employees are working to put up bsnl first.

Yes, I agree too. KERALA CIRCLE HAS an EXCEPTION ! Even the BSNL of Raigad Circle quote about the schemes, plans and tariffs and some innovative ideas like “Pyari jodi” implemented during Onam time (for good I think it is still valid upto 30th Nv.)-
But “is route ke sabhee lines vyasth hai” “Ami digir aahot” ! Something serious has to be done by the concerned in BSNL, else the private players will have the cake and eat it too !

Yes! it should be. After all India is ONE.
Dividing Indian Telecom into different circles creates problem for people living in borders of two telecom circles. He is often charged for roaming even if he moves 2-3 Kms. from his house or charged for STD call to call his relative who is just on the other side of the borderline of telecom circles.

Sir, i am using BSNL Postpaid connection with the ownership of my mother’s name. Now i want to shift the same number to Airtel network. will i able to port the number with ownership of my name to Airtel?
    Plz give ur comment!

Airtel Charges Rs. 10 for MNP SMS. (PORT Mobile no to 1900). Customer care says their toll free no. list does not include 1900. So Airtel, if you can change logo, why can’t you change your toll free list. Or it is the way you loot your customers by charging Rs. 10 for SMS and later Rs. 0.50/3Min. for talking to customer care.

I tried with uninor but it is free

I tried on RGSM and it is free. And it must be free from all the operators. They are charging it because their system is not updated and SMS to 1900 is charged as premium SMS.

It is not right. It may be right in your circle. Come to kerala and experience the BSNL services.

You are right. BSNL works like a multinational company in Kerala but not everywhere. Anyone can experience this in Kerala.

It’s possible in NCR region friend. NCR is assumed as Delhi for all purposes. So you may live in Delhi and still have BSNL number of your state i.e. if I go to NOIDA with my BSNL number I’m still in my state but for mobile network I will be in Delhi. 2 years ago there were roaming charges but now its waived. Thus you are a local customer for U.P. and Delhi both.

So this rule is applicable for BSNL only or for other operators also? Customers of which circles will not be in roaming but local in Delhi? Or this rule is applicable only for NCR??

This rule is applicable for NCR only and for UP and Haryana BSNL customers.

I want to ask if a BSNL customer of UP(E), UP(W) & Haryana will roam freely in following NCR areas and vice versa:
    1. Gurgaon, Faridabad, Mewat, Palwal, Rewari, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Sonipat & Panipat (Haryana)
    2. Alwar, Bhiwadi (Rajasthan)
    3. Gautam Buddha Nagar District, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Meerut (UP)

No. They are assumed local customer only in their concerned state’s NCR districts i.e. Gautam Buddha Nagar (NOIDA) for BSNL customers of U.P. Gurgaon for BSNL customers of Haryana etc.

Offcourse airtel will give nationwide 3G and not only airtel but also vodafone, idea, reliance and docomo. This is because they will share each other infrastructure. But u have to pay roaming charges. For eg airtel has got 3g license in w.b and vodafone in kolkata. Now if a airtel w.b cust cums to kol he will be charged for roaming. Also Airtel kolkata will not offer 3g since he has not license. Airtel can provide 3g to those cust who are in airtel 3g circle but not the rest. 3g has come with a 15yr of contract where a operator can only share infrastructure where he is not present for roaming customer. Airtel can not offer 3g locally where he has no license. So mr max u r wrong.

BSNL is not making Nation rich, but its making their Lazy BSNL empolyees rich.
Do you know any company which went into losses due to increasing its employees salaries??? Its BSNL. This year is the first year that BSNL showed losses (after 10 years of private operators entry) and that loss due to the revised(increased) salary to their lazy employees. Its fine upto you use BSNL service., but once you get problem then you had face(or fight) with their lazy employees(my personal exp). If there is no profit then there is no scope of giving the profits to govt or making nation rich.
There is no end to Greediness of Private Operators
There is no end to Laziness of Public Operator’s Employees

you are wrong.losses are due to top level management problems. Mr.Raja made some problems in the tender process in adding gsm lines. so that customer addition was very less. Now bsnl got a new powerful CMD .he will make bsnl to the top level and make profit.

I appeal to all fellow citizens of india to convert their number to BSNL and help the development of our country.BSNL was the first company to provide services to all parts of rural India. The revenue earned by BSNL goes to the government and it is used for developing the nation wheras money spent on private service providers goes to their pockets without any significant benefit to the society.BSNL services may not be that much good but they are constantly improving and people should not forget that we all started our conversations on BSNL landlines. Please spread this message and be a proud citizen of INDIA.

yes dude BSNL works for welfare of all Indians and profit but do you think that by using we are making India a bit wealthy? no,the profit earned by BSNL and MTNL go into the pockets of ministers and corrupt officials because of which BSNL lags behind pvt operators even after having govt support and good plans. It’s economic condition does not improve even after have large subscriber base and revenue.what’s the reason?it’s corruption.Let us Indians try to make every govt company as efficient, transparent and profitable as pvt companies.JAI HIND!

    This is a happy news.
Now all others will introduce some new offers for the port in curtomers.
When the other operators started/about to start 3G BSNL cutdown its 3G rate.. So others will have to do the same to get new customers.
I tried DOCOMO 3g during its trial period and its speed no where reaching to BSNL 3G. Moreover DOCOMO 3g giving me a very worst speed. I tried it in my house @bangalore. Not sure about the speed in other places.
I waiting for MNP, i am frustrated with Vodafone Karnataka.
I was a postpaid customer then shifted to prepaid after a very long fight with their Nodal officer. And now I am in plan which gives 150 free local SMS daily.. All TT readers Vodafone’s 1 day is not 24 hours it is 20 hours. 150free sms will be credited only after 4 hours every day. which means if you send any sms from 12 AM to 4 AM it will charge as per your base plan. Also their GPRS activation will take 4 hours after recharge. Every time after deducting the money wrongly i will call to CC and fight with them to take a compliant to credit the amount back. Every time I will ask them to take a compliant and they will say they are raising a compliant and they will take an SR.
If we call more than 3 times to CC then they will block our numbers from calling to CC, and they will charge for the CC call..
    Eagerly waiting for MNP now..

That’s why so many people hate Vodafone. The same problem is everywhere in Vodafone.

Mere paas ek hin permanent no. hai aur wo bhi BSNL ka. Mujhe MNP se filhaal koi fayda nahin hai lekin hamare doston ko to iski sakht jaroorat hai kyonki kisi ke paas Reliance hai to kisi ke paas AIRTEL.

Manoj Abhigyan, Please do not give information like private operators. (attractive but cheating)

Sorry friend, I received a msg from Airtel saying this which I posted here. Not confirmed it yet whether it is for Airtel to Airtel only or Airtel to others.

That’s why I say- Private Operators give plans which are attractive but cheater. Like Double TT on Top-ups but TT validity is a few days (RGSM), Unlimited free browsing but only operator’s homepage, Cheapest call rates offers but only local and that too onnet (Most of the operators). And the cheating part is that they will never tell the conditions to customer and dealers also. You will come to about these conditions only after recharge. When you call Customer Care they will simply say “we are sorry, it was not known to you but it is like that.” (These days customer care executives have forgotten the sorry word also and very rude.)

You said it right friend. They don’t tell their *(terms and conditions). So don’t use them. Beleive in the best i.e. BSNL. If there is some problem in BSNL we should inform the concerned authority but use always BSNL in national (and your own too) interest.

BSNL is geared to kick pvt operators. After MNP BSNL is ready to start FMC technology which will clear all issues with BSNL. With FMC get better indoor coverage and data speeds. WITH THIS TECHNOLOGY BSNL BECOMES 1ST OPERATOR IN INDIA TO OFFER FMC.

From last 3-4 months, I’m seeing a sudden change in bsnl. Don’t know why. But suddenly they increased gprs speed. Suddenly I’m getting their network in those places where usually I didn’t. Discovered wide 3g network coverage. 3g rates dropped down. They have introduced more plans in their evdo service. Their customer care people started to behave better than previous. I think there has been some change in their upper management. But the main fact is that Bsnl is more customer friendly now than ever. If bsnl goes on like this, all the private players will have to face some stiff competition unprecedented in world’s telecom history.

I am watching similar trend in other operators, but in negative direction. decreasing GPRS speed, bad network, cheating customers by subscribing VAS without any request from customer, and giving attractive looking plans with hidden cheat plans.
So we can see BSNL to change itself from “Bhai Sahab Nahin Lagega” to “Best Hai Mere Liye”.
