Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 6 Pro in Thailand in August and now a newly leaked poster suggests that the smartphone will be launching in China today, i.e. November 6. We have often come noticed that Xiaomi brings the phones that it launches in China, to India, and the same can be expected from this one. Now that the Redmi Note 6 Pro is finally launching in China, we can expect the phone to also hit the Indian shores very soon. Xiaomi, however, is yet to announce the India launch details of the Redmi Note 6 Pro. That said, the Redmi Note 6 Pro could be launched in China as Redmi Note 6 AI and it will replace the existing Redmi Note 5 AI smartphone.
At the beginning of September, Xiaomi launched three phones in India – Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro. A poster stating the China launch date of the Redmi Note 6 Pro – November 6 – has been leaked. Although, the official statement for the launch is yet to be revealed by the company. Xiaomi launched the successor to the Redmi Note 5 Pro in Thailand for a starting price tag of Rs 6,990 baht which roughly translates to Rs 15,600. Considering the Redmi Note 5 Pro is currently priced at Rs 14,999 in India, we can definitely expect the Note 6 Pro to be priced around the same as the predecessor to slightly higher. Overall, keeping the price of the Redmi Note 6 Pro under Rs 20,000 in India will be a game-changing scenario for Xiaomi in the country.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro: Specifications and Features
The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a 6.26-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 and screen-to-body-ratio of 86%. The screen of the phone is protected with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass. The Redmi Note 6 Pro just like the Redmi 6 Pro comes with a notch on top of the display. On the hardware front, the Redmi phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset which is same as the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The phone has been launched in only one variant in Thailand, but in other markets, Xiaomi is expected to bring more models. In Thailand, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 6 Pro with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded via microSD card.
On the camera front, the Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a dual camera setup on the back and single sensor on the front. The phone packs a primary sensor of 12MP with Dual Pixel autofocus and f/1.9 aperture and a secondary sensor of 5MP for depth sensing. On the front as well, the Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a dual camera setup. The phone includes a primary sensor of 20MP with Superpixel, f/2.0 aperture and a secondary sensor of 2MP for dynamic portrait shots. The Xiaomi phone is backed by a massive 4000mAh battery similar the Redmi Note 5 Pro.
