Xiaomi’s latest MIUI version is MIUI 10. The Chinese smartphone manufacturing company has already started its work on the next-generation MIUI. Going by Xiaomi’s track record and as also rumours suggest the next MIUI will be MIUI 11. Rumours suggest that MIUI 11 is in an early stage of development and should be released in the next few months or so. Ahead of the official release, a list with the names of the eligible Xiaomi phones which will receive MIUI 11 update has leaked online. As expected, the Xiaomi Mi 9 which will be the company’s next flagship smartphone finds a place in the MIUI 11 list. Rumours suggest that Xiaomi Mi 9 could be among the first phones to get upgraded to MIUI 11. The list has been leaked by a Chinese tech blog that goes by the name MyDrivers. The Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro (unannounced) also makes to the list. Find the full list of eligible Xiaomi phones below.
Eligible Xiaomi Phones to Get MIUI 11
The Xiaomi phones listed in the leaked MIUI 11 list are: --Xiaomi Mi 9, Mi 8, Xiaomi Mi MIX 3, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S, Mi MIX 2, Xiaomi Mi MIX, Xiaomi Mi 6X, Mi 6, Xiaomi Mi Note 2, Mi Note 3, Xiaomi Mi 5X, Mi 5c, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Xiaomi Mi Max 2, Mi Max, Mi Max 3, and Xiaomi Mi Play. Then there are bunch of Redmi phones eligible to get MIUI 11 update: Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 7, Redmi S2, Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 Pro, Redmi 5, Redmi 5A, Redmi 5 Plus, Redmi Note 5A, Redmi 4, Redmi 4A, Redmi 4X, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 4X, Redmi 3S/3X, Redmi Note 6, and Redmi Note 6 Pro. Interestingly, the Redmi Note 7 Pro also finds a spot in the list because the phone is yet to be officially announced by Redmi. So definitely, the Redmi Note 7 Pro is in the works and it will be announced very soon.
Official Release Date of MIUI 11 is Not Known at the Moment
Xiaomi is yet to reveal the release date of MIUI 11. Rumours however suggest that it could be announced alongside the launch of the Mi 9 on February 20 and officially released in the next few months. Past rumours suggest that the MIUI 11 may be released in June 2019, which is almost the same time when MIUI 10 was pushed out to the public. Some other reports suggest that Mi 9 could be the first Xiaomi phone to get the MIUI 11.
Not a lot is known about the UI but rumours suggest that with MIUI 11 Xiaomi is working to bring a complete design overhaul. The company CEO Lei Jun previously revealed that the Xiaomi engineers are working on the next MIUI and said that it is in the initial stage of development.
