Snapdragon 675 SoC and 48MP Sony Sensor on Redmi Note 7 Pro

The Snapdragon 675 SoC is not the only highlight of the Redmi Note 7 Pro, but recently Xiaomi had also revealed that the phone would come with 48MP Sony IMX586 instead of the Samsung ISOCELL GM1 which is the sensor on the Redmi Note 7. Also, what’s worth noting is that the Redmi Note 7 Pro could be the first phone to sport the Snapdragon 675. Previously, there were rumours that the Motorola P40 could be the first phone to sport the Snapdragon 675 SoC, but it seems that the Redmi Note 7 Pro will probably take that title.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC comes with a lot of quirks including the Qualcomm Kryo 460 CPU that gives a boost to the performance on the device and also punches in efficiency and speed. For graphics, the chipset pairs with Adreno 612 GPU which offers lag-free graphics with ‘heterogeneous computing.’ The chipset also lends support for 480fps HD slo-mo recording. The multi-core Qualcomm AI Engine will also add to the efficiency of the phone and will ensure an optimum 50% faster performance than the previous generation chipset in the lineup.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Expected Price

As per the rumours, the Redmi Note 7 Pro has been rumoured to arrive with a CNY 1,499 price tag (about Rs 15,790), which is slightly lower than the price of the Redmi Note 7 in China. However, we believe that the phone will come with a higher price tag given that it a ‘Pro’ offering from Xiaomi. Also, the better SoC and camera in comparison to the Redmi Note 7 hint that the actual pricing of the phone will be more than what it is rumoured to be.

Notably, the Redmi Note 7 has not yet arrived in India, but when it does, it is expected to see significant traction in the market due to its impressive specifications. At the same time, it will be exciting to see the Redmi Note 7 Pro launch in China. Make sure you stay tuned to see the actual pricing and full specifications of this new device from Xiaomi.
