Xiaomi might not bundle a charger with its phones in the future

Remember when you used find it difficult to find a suitable charger for your mobile phone? Back in those days, every other mobile phone brand used to have a proprietary charging port. You could not charge a Nokia device with a Samsung charger, but now almost every smartphone brand uses a microUSB port for charging (except Apple, which uses lightning port). Chances are that if you have bought a smartphone in the past 3-4 years, you must already be having a microUSB compatible wall charger lying around in your home or office.

Xiaomi is thinking whether it should bundle a wall charger with its future smartphones and tablets. The company's CEO, Lei Jun, has asked the question to people on Weibo. Consumer opinion would better help the company in taking the decision. Even though some people think that Xiaomi is just trying to cut the cost, but the company putting it forward from the environmental standpoint.
