Xiaomi India today introduced its Mi VIP Club programme in the Indian market. This programme is specially designed for users who purchase the products on the company's website Mi.com, and it has four tiers- Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. The customers who make a transaction on Mi.com will be rewarded, and the benefits of the VIP programme will depend on the tier they're currently in. That said, the Mi VIP Club programme is an upgraded one to the 'Reward Mi,' which the Chinese company introduced in India last year. The Reward Mi program allowed users to redeem Mi Tokens as discount coupons along with early access to Xiaomi products. However, the Mi VIP Club programme offers more benefits such as access to launch events happening in the country, annual souvenirs, birthday gifts etc.

The privileges of becoming VIP members are: upgrade rewards, which as per the company's website will offer rewards for upgrading from one class to another; Birthday gifts: Xiaomi will send a gift to Platinum and Diamond Class members on their birthdays; Annual Souvenirs, which means during every Mi Anniversary, Xiaomi will prepare exclusive souvenir to Platinum Class and Diamond Class users. Lastly, we have the Members-Only Events, which means two exclusive-event benefits, where many units/quantities of the smartphone launched will be on sale for VIP members.

As mentioned, there are four classes. The first one's the Silver class, which offers 50% points on buying accessories and the class members can also redeem Mi Tokens. The Gold class members can enjoy the Silver class benefits along with Upgrade Rewards as mentioned above. The Platinum Class users can enjoy all the benefits of Gold class along with Annual Souvenirs, Birthday Gifts and Mi Tokens (VIP). Lastly, we have the Diamond class people, which gives access to all the benefits mentioned above along with Mi VIP Rewards and Launch Events.

Talking about the Mi VIP points, every user can get 1% of transaction values as Mi VIP point and the Tier class depends on the Mi VIP points earned by the users. However, Xiaomi did not mention the points required to be eligible for each Tier class. Xiaomi also confirmed that users would continue to get all privileges of Reward Mi and Referral
