At the time of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3's launch in India, Xiaomi also unveiled its new Mi Bluetooth Speaker. The company priced the speaker at Rs. 1,999 and is now going to set it on sale tomorrow. Xiaomi had been teasing the launch of the new speaker on its Twitter handle for a while. One of the teasers comes with a caption - “Thinking of enhancing the Hi-fi on your Redmi Note 3? #MiBluetoothSpeaker will be available 22nd March!”. It will go on sale at 10AM via Mi.com.
In terms of design, the Mi Bluetooth speaker comes embodied in Aluminium and is rectangular in shape. One of the highlights of the device is its built-in mic, which enables users to make and receive calls. Its Chinese variant comes equipped with a microSD card slot, but sadly, the Indian variant lacks the feature. It is pretty compact in size, which in turn makes it more portable. To enhance the audio experience, the Mi Bluetooth speaker has Anerva AV3102 DSP (Digital Signal Processing) that provides good sound output.
It gives 3W of a maximum output power and frequency of 85Hz-20KHz. Its Bluetooth range is up to 15 meters. It also features physical power button and volume buttons along with an aux-in port. The device is backed by a 1500 mAh battery, which is touted by Xiaomi to provide 8 hours of continuous playback. The Mi Bluetooth speaker weighs 270 grams, and will be available in Blue, Gold, and Pink color options.
