Xiaomi Mi A3 is the next Android One smartphone from the Chinese smartphone company. Xiaomi is all set to introduce a new smartphone series aimed at the youth in China tomorrow. The Mi CC series will start with two smartphones- the Mi CC9 and the Mi CC9e. The specifications of both the phones are already making rounds on the web. Now, a new report suggests the Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e will be rebranded as Xiaomi Mi A3 and A3 Lite for the global markets with Android One certification and stock Android on board. Going by this rumour, we can expect the Xiaomi Mi A3 to come with Snapdragon 730 chipset, triple rear cameras and glass back with a gradient design. To recall, Xiaomi launched the Mi A2 series in July last year, so it's a perfect time for the successor to come in.
Xiaomi Mi A3 Likely to Come With Snapdragon 730 SoC
Xiaomi has been very active this year with back to back smartphone launches. Last month, we saw the company launching Redmi K20 series in China and they'll be reaching India this month. And now, it's all set to introduce Mi CC series of phones. Every year, Xiaomi rebrands a Mi X series phone to Mi A. In 2017, we got the first Android One smartphone from Xiaomi which the Mi A1 and it's a rebranded Mi 5X. Last year, it was the Mi A2 which again was a rebranded version of the Mi 6X. Although, we don't have rumours about the Mi 7X or Mi 8X or Mi 9X, a new leak points that the company is planning to rebrand the Mi CC series to Mi A series this year.
The Mi CC9 is rumoured to come with a Snapdragon 730 chipset which we have seen in the Redmi K20 as well. The phone is already confirmed to feature triple rear cameras with the primary sensor being a 48MP one. Also, the new series from Xiaomi is aimed at the youth, so we get to see a catchy design. The Mi A3 will be part of Android One programme and it will come with stock Android 9 Pie out of the box.
On the other hand, the Mi CC9e is said to the Mi A3 Lite. The Mi CC9e is also said to sport triple rear cameras, but it will come with Snapdragon 710 chipset which we saw on the likes on Realme 3 Pro and the Nokia 8.1. The Mi CC9 also said to offer 27W fast charging.
A Lot Depends on the Mi A3 for the Future of Mi A Series
Xiaomi disappointed a lot of users out there with the Mi A2 as the company went with a smaller battery and ditched 3.5mm headphone jack to make the phone slimmer. These two cons affected the overall sales of the smartphone and they were not on par with the Mi A1. However, Xiaomi seems to be rectifying these issues this year. The Mi CC9 is tipped to feature a bigger battery in the form of 3940mAh unit, so this news will come as a relief for several users out there. Also, the phone will have a 3.5mm headphone jack- another move which will be appreciated by a lot of consumers.
