It has been months since Xiaomi launched the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite. A new report now suggests that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer may be working on two more Android One devices. These two Android One devices will succeed the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite. This means that the spotted Android One phones from Xiaomi may be Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite. Xiaomi is yet to confirm details about the Mi A3 and M A3 Lite, but it might launch the phones in the coming months. According to XDA Junior Member franztesca, Xiaomi has started hardware testing three new phones, two of which are most likely Android One phones. Most Xiaomi phones come with customised MIUI software on top of Android, but the Android One phones don’t. Xiaomi introduced its Android One lineup about two years back with the launch of Mi A1. Last year, the company launched Mi A2 series of phones and with this new report coming in there are high chances that Xiaomi may soon unveil its third generation Android One phones aka Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite.

The three smartphones have been spotted with codenames — “pyxis,” “bamboo_sprout,” and “cosmos_sprout.” The report suggests that the “bamboo_sprout” and “cosmos_sprout” are most likely the Android One smartphones from Xiaomi. One of the most interesting bits about these spotted phones is that they are being tested with “fod” or fingerprint on display.
