While Xiaomi's most phones come with the MIUI, there one series of Xiaomi smartphones which comes with stock Android version and great cameras and is immensely loved in India. We are talking about the Xiaomi Mi A series which has become a great hit with the Indian buyers. Last year, we saw the launch of Xiaomi Mi A2 in August, and now we're approaching the dates for the launch of Xiaomi Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite which have now been officially teased from Xiaomi. Xiaomi Global Spokesperson Donovan Sung has teased these two phones by asking what features the fans are expecting on these two devices. Also, in a new separate leak, the processors on these two phones and the codenames of these devices have also been leaked.
Xiaomi Spokesperson Teases Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite Launch
As per the leak hinting about the codenames of these two devices, the Mi A3 Lite is rumoured to be codenamed as cosmos_sprout, whereas the Mi A3 standard variant has been named as bamboo_sprout behind the veil right now. Also, Xiaomi Global official spokesperson teased the arrival of these two smartphones in a new tweet, "One year ago, we launched our next generation Android One smartphones Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite. What's everyone looking forward to the most in the next generation of the Mi A series?" Now although there has been an official hint from Xiaomi now, the company has not yet spoken about a timeline regarding the launch of these phones.
Xiaomi Mi A3 and Mi A3 Processors
Also, tipster Ishan Agrawal and MySmartPrice, both had stated in their reports that the Mi A3 and the Mi A3 Lite has been in the works and it will launch globally soon. As per these reports, while the Mi A3 Lite will pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC, the Mi A3 standard variant will come with the Snapdragon 730 SoC. To recall, there was also a leak back in March which had revealed the codenames of the Mi A3 and the Mi A3 Lite as bamboo_sprout and cosmos_sprout respectively. Also, the tipster in his leak had said that these two phones would continue the legacy and would thus come with the Android One tag.
There is also a new rumour floating around concerning the Mi A3. According to a new US FCC listing, the Mi CC9e is the phone which is likely to be rebranded as the Mi A3. However, it is worth noting that the Mi CC9e is a phone which comes powered by the Snapdragon 730 SoC. Even with that being said, Xiaomi has been known to make some tweaks to the global variant and the Chinese variant of this series, as such it is likely that this might be the difference that Xiaomi makes between the two devices.
