The Xiaomi Mi 6 will be remembered as the most leaked smartphone in the history of the smartphone era. The upcoming flagship phone from Xiaomi has been in the news for more than eight months now, and they keep on coming till the official launch. However, most of the leaks will remain as rumours, whereas some of them will make into the final smartphone.
Recently, the internet is flooded with a new leak stating that the Mi 6 will feature dual cameras at the rear. While some of the leaks say that it's true, most of them were against the same. But, a new leak popped online today leaked the real life image of the phone and yeah, there is a dual camera at the rear.
The image is heavily blurred, but still, we can see the presence of the dual rear camera at the left corner of the phone. What's interesting is the placement of flashlight. The LED flash is placed left to the dual camera module and that too at the edge of the phone, which makes us believe that Xiaomi might have changed their mind to include a dual rear camera at the very end or after making the final design of the phone.
Just after this leak came out, a press render of the phone has been posted by Xiaomi online, which also shows the same exact placements as the previously leaked image. So, it's now confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will feature a dual rear camera, but the implementation is still a mystery. This is not the first Xiaomi device to feature a dual camera, as the six months old Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus came out with two 13MP rear sensors. With the Mi 5s Plus, Xiaomi followed its counterpart Huawei by embedding monochrome sensor, but it's interesting to see how Xiaomi goes with Mi 6.
All in all, there are some other rumours stating that the Mi 6 will first release with a Snapdragon 821 chipset onboard and later on, will come with a Snapdragon 835 SoC. But, it doesn't make any sense for Xiaomi to release the Mi 6 with an almost-one-year-old chipset. Besides, the Mi 6 is also slated to come in two variants- one with a 5.15-inch display, and the other one with a 5.7-inch screen. There's a possibility that Xiaomi might include the dual camera on the bigger screen variant, but again, it's still a mystery, and we have to wait till the official launch.
