The Chinese electronics manufacturer Xiaomi has launched its AirDots earbuds in China today which go against the Apple Airpods and offer similar functionality. These new AirDots by Xiaomi use Bluetooth 5.0 and bear a price tag of 199 Yuan or about Rs 2,100. These new wireless headset by Xiaomi weigh only 4.2 grams, and they also offer soundproof audio experience meaning they will also cancel the noise outside. Additionally, the headset will be able to play music for up to 4 hours, and they will ship with a case which will charge these for up to 12 hours.
When kept inside the charging box, the headsets are turned off automatically and are instantly put on charging. While turning the AirDots headset back on again, the AirDots connect automatically with the previously connected device without any additional hassle. These AirDots headset by Xiaomi goes on sale live on November 11 midnight Xiaomi Mall, Xiaomi Youpin, Tmall, Jingdong, and Suning.
Bluetooth 5.0 and Touch Screen on AirDots Youth Edition
Xiaomi has claimed that by equipping these new earphones with Bluetooth 5.0, the single ear disconnections problem with wireless headsets has been solved to a greater extent. Also, Xiaomi has put in a touchscreen on both the earphones using which wearers will be able to answer calls, pause the music and much more. Further, Xiaomi has claimed that these earphones will be ideal for wearing even while following an active lifestyle like travelling in public transport or exercising. Notably, the version that will go for sale in China at the earliest will be the AirDots Youth Edition.
With this release, it’s pretty evident that Xiaomi is looking to expand its horizon and is aiming to provide a good audio experience to its customers. With the release of these wireless headsets which are similar to Apple Airpods, Xiaomi is taking a jab at the other wireless headsets in the market right now. With an extremely affordable price tag, it’s also possible that Xiaomi will see a lot of attention from buyers for this new product. Also, there has been no news of a global release for the new AirDots by Xiaomi as of yet.
