Harman owned brand JBL announced the launch of their new JBL Free wireless in-ear headphones in India. These new headphones are set to counter the Apple Airpods in the country. With a lot of people slowly ditching wired headphones and moving to Bluetooth based audio devices, this seems to be JBL’s attempt on attracting the customers. The new JBL Free headphones start at the price range of Rs 9,999. JBL will offer two colours options for the headphones – Black and White. While the headphones will be available on almost all leading offline and online stores in India, along with 350 Samsung brand stores countrywide, users can also head to HarmanAudio.in to buy the headphones. When purchasing from the HarmanAudio website the buyers will be eligible to be part of a lucky draw contest where they can win a fully paid trip to JBL Fest in Las Vegas.

Features and Specs
The JBL Free as the name denotes facilitates restriction free audio experience while delivering JBL Signature sound. The Free headphones can be used for phone calls and music. The headphones come with 24 hours of “combined playback” and also feature IPX5 certification which makes them splash proof. Speaking of power on the JBL Free headphones, on a single charge they provide up to 4 hours of continuous listening while the smart charging case gives you a further 20 hours of backup. With using the charging case for about 15 minutes, users can extend the playback time on the devices by up to one-hour thanks to the QuickCharge capability. Besides normal playback, the JBL Free comes with an integrated microphone and a Call mode feature that automatically switches to mono when making phone calls, to facilitate easy calling and receiving on the headphones.

The JBL Free headphones alongside delivering exceptional audio quality are also very compact with the in-ear headphones weighing just 99 grams. The audio quality on these headphones is made possible by the 5.6mm dynamic drivers with a frequency response of 10Hz – 22kHz. When users purchase the JBL Free, they get two sets of gel sleeves of M and L sizes along with three sets of silicone ear tips in three sizes of – S, M, L, a charging case, and a Micro USB charging cable.
