It seems that Vodafone India is back on the track of releasing new prepaid plans for its subscribers. The telecom operator last released the Rs 16 Filmy Recharge plan for its subscribers, however, that one was a low priced internet pack for consumers who would like to have data access for a single day to watch movies or consume content on their smartphones. This time around, Vodafone has introduced a different plan entirely which is highly priced and also comes with much longer validity. The new plan that we are talking about is the Rs 999 prepaid plan by Vodafone. This plan doesn't only stop at data offering but also offers calling and SMS benefits for an entire year. Here are the details of the newly launched prepaid plan by Vodafone. Notably, Vodafone introduced this new plan to take on Airtel's Rs 998 prepaid plan and the benefits are also the same on both the plans.

New Rs 999 Prepaid Plan by Vodafone Details

The new Rs 999 prepaid plan by Vodafone is a combo offering by the telecom operator, and it bundles 12GB 4G/3G data for the entire validity period of 365 days. Apart from this, the plan offers unlimited calling benefits for the whole year along with free roaming. Although subscribers should note that the plan does not ship any talk time benefit, lastly, this plan will also offer the subscribers 100SMS per day.

Subscribers should also note that this plan is aimed at subscribers who would only like to utilise calling and don't mind missing out on mobile data. However, the plan is still going to pack 12GB data for an entire year, which practically speaking, is very negligible for smartphone users. Vodafone prepaid customers will also get access to Vodafone Play app for free. Also, do make a note that Vodafone has launched the Rs 999 plan only in select circles at the moment, but it's expected to be available as open market plan very soon. Right now, Vodafone prepaid users in Punjab circle can recharge with this plan.

Vodafone Long Term Prepaid Plans and New Filmy Recharge

However, if you're a Vodafone subscriber and you'd like to have a plan which comes with long term validity and doesn't offer data for namesake, thankfully Vodafone has got your covered. There are more long-term plans in Vodafone's portfolio like the Rs 1,699 plan which offers unlimited calling and free roaming with 1GB daily 4G/3G data and 100 SMS per day. Additionally, this plan also offers complimentary subscription to Vodafone Play where you will be able to watch movies and more video content.

It is worth noting that only a few days back, Vodafone had launched a cheap internet pack for the subscribers for Rs 16 titled ‘Filmy Recharge’. This Filmy Recharge is aimed at subscribers who would like to watch the latest blockbusters on their smartphones and thus the internet pack offers 1GB data for 24 hours to the subscribers. Notably, this internet pack doesn't bundle any calling or SMS benefit.

Airtel Rs 998 Prepaid Plan Details

Bharti Airtel was the first operator to launch the Rs 998 prepaid plan a couple of months ago, and now, Vodafone has joined the list. The Rs 998 plan from Airtel comes with 12GB data benefit, unlimited voice calling, 100 SMSes per day and free Airtel TV subscription for 336 days, but Vodafone's plan is valid for 365 days.
