With the recent changes in the prepaid segment, the best way to secure your mobile number is to recharge a yearly plan. If you look at the scenario four months ago, consumers didn’t have yearly prepaid plans at affordable prices, however, that has changed with Jio’s Rs 1,699 prepaid plan. This annual plan from Jio is not only affordable, but it also forced other telcos to come up with affordable yearly plans. State-run BSNL immediately followed Jio by launching Rs 1,699 and Rs 2,099 prepaid plans, and very recently it even launched Rs 1,312 annual plan. Now joining the list is the newly merged telco Vodafone Idea which has now unveiled an annual prepaid plan of Rs 1,499. This plan from Vodafone and Idea Cellular is not only cheap and it ships all the three essential benefits- calling, data and SMS for 365 days.

Vodafone Idea Rs 1,499 Prepaid Plan: What it Offers?
To tackle the competition better, Vodafone Idea has introduced the affordable Rs 1,499 yearly prepaid plan offering benefits for 365 days. The first thing to note here is that this plan is not yet available across the country, meaning it’s currently available for select users in select circles. While Idea Cellular has introduced the Rs 1,499 prepaid recharge in more than ten circles, Vodafone is shipping the plan in less than five circles. Maybe the telco is looking for consumers interest on this plan in the circles where it introduced. Idea Cellular has introduced this plan in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Kolkata, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh and so on. On the other hand, Vodafone is offering the Rs 1,499 prepaid plan in Mumbai, Karnataka among other 4G circles. Even in the circles where the plan is available, some users may not be able to recharge it because it’s a segmented recharge.
