Vodafone Idea (Vi) has announced the completion of its network deployment along the entire 12.44-kilometre underground stretch of Mumbai Metro Line 3. With this, Vi customers travelling on the underground route will experience uninterrupted connectivity, Vodafone Idea said in an official statement. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the city's infrastructure project—the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) to Aarey stretch of Mumbai Metro Line 3—on October 05, 2024.

Infrastructure at Key Stations
Vi has set up network infrastructure across all 10 stations, including Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Vidya Nagari, Santacruz, Domestic Airport, Sahar Road, International Airport, Marol Naka, MIDC, SEEPZ, and Aarey Colony. Vi has implemented in-building solutions (IBS) within the underground metro tunnel to enhance connectivity.
Commenting on this initiative, Shailendra Singh, Operations Director of Vodafone Idea, said, "The inauguration of the Aarey to BKC underground metro corridor is a long-cherished dream for the people of Mumbai. As the city's leading telecom operator, we are delighted to share that our network deployment across this metro route will offer an uninterrupted and seamless experience to our customers."

Seamless Experience for Vi Customers
Vi customers can stay connected, access important information, and enjoy uninterrupted entertainment throughout their journey on Phase 1 of Mumbai Metro Line 3, the operator said.
