Chinese manufacturer Vivo is facing a lot of heat in the Indian market in recent times. As a result, the company has slashed the price of the Vivo V7 in India today. Launched at Rs 18,990, the Vivo V7 will retail for Rs 16,990 going forward. All the three colour variants- Matte Black, Gold, and the more recently launched Energetic Blue colour option will also be available at Rs 16,990.

To recall, Vivo launched the Vivo V7 just last month, and this sudden price cut also explains the sales of the smartphone. However, Vivo did not slash the price of the Vivo V7+ though, and it still retails for Rs 21,900 in the country. The price drop is already effective across all the retail stores and on Amazon India & Flipkart as well.

Vivo V7 Specifications and Features

The Vivo V7 features a similar design as the Vivo V7+ but comes with a smaller display of 5.7-inch. However, the resolution of the display is 1440 x 720 pixels, meaning it's an 18:9 display with the compact form factor.

Internally, the Vivo V7 is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. A dedicated microSD card slot is also present which accepts up to 256GB microSD cards.

The device measures 7.9mm in thickness and weigh 139grams. A fingerprint scanner is present at the back of the phone.

The USP of the Vivo V7 and any other Vivo smartphone is the selfie camera. A 24MP selfie camera is present on the front of the Vivo V7, which also offers a Portrait mode. Vivo also added an LED flash beside the selfie camera to make the images look better in low-light conditions. At the rear, Vivo added a 16MP camera and the phone also comes with Face Unlock mode as a screen unlock method.

The smartphone offers all the connectivity options such as 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a micro USB port. The device boots FunTouch OS 3.2 built on top of Android 7.1 Nougat. This entire package is backed by a 3000mAh battery with no fast charging support.

Lastly, Reliance Jio is offering up to 100GB additional data for all the Vivo V7 buyers.
