Videocon, the home-grown smartphone brand has launched yet another smartphone in the Indian market called the Krypton 22. Priced at Rs. 7200, the phone comes with support for VoLTE as well as VoWiFi. Being an entry-level smartphone, it has decent specifications, and Videocon is touting the IR blaster feature on the phone.
The Videocon Krypton 22 comes with a 5-inch IPS LCD HD display with no mention of the protective layer on top. At the heart of the phone is a 1.1GHz quad-core CPU, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card.
Videocon is also highlighting the Android 7.0 Nougat OS on the phone, which also has various gesture controls. It also has support for USB OTG and can accept up to 64GB of USB stick.
Camera-wise, the Krypton 22 comes with an 8MP primary camera with dual tone LED flash along with a 5MP front-facing camera, which also has a LED flash. Like mentioned earlier, the device comes with 4G LTE, VoLTE, VoWiFi, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and GPS support.
As seen on other Videocon smartphones, the Krypton 22 also features an SOS hardware button, which alerts the nearby people on pressing it. With the Krypton 22, Videocon is also offering one year EROS Now and Gameloft subscriptions.

The Videocon Krypton 22 will be up for sale in all the offline and online retail channels for Rs. 7200 in coming days. For the asking price, the phone goes against the Xiaomi Redmi 3s, which has much better hardware than the former.
