Vantage Data Centers has officially opened its first data center in Taipei, Taiwan. The 16 MW facility, known as TPE11, is located in the Taoyuan district and is designed to accommodate both cloud and high-density deployments. According to Vantage, the Taipei data center is powered by liquid cooling technology to support Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data-intensive applications. The opening ceremony was attended by industry leaders and several government officials.

Cutting-Edge Technology and Sustainability
"Taipei is a fast-moving technology hub with booming demand for hyperscale data centers to power next-generation applications, cloud transformation, and AI adoption. We are excited to launch our flagship Taipei data center to fulfill surging customer demand and enable the region’s digitalisation," said Vantage APAC in a statement this week.
According to the company, the five-story TPE11 facility is located on two acres and is built in alignment with the local government's focus on sustainable energy sources.
The facility features industry-leading Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and low Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE). TPE11 will be powered by the local utility provider, Taiwan Power Company (Taipower), which is focused on renewable energy and low-carbon solutions.

Third Annual ESG Report
In other news, Vantage, on Thursday, published its third annual Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report. Themed "Growth that Preserves," the 2023 report tracks the company's sustainability progress across its portfolio of 34 global campuses.
