Just yesterday, Apple announced that they will be unveiling the next generation iPhones on September 12, at the Apple campus in Cupertino. And today, a new couple of case makers reveal that the upcoming iPhones to be named as Apple iPhone Edition, Apple iPhone 8 and Apple iPhone 8 Plus.

In case you’re wondering, the iPhone 8 will be the direct successor to last year’s iPhone 7, the iPhone 8 Plus will replace the iPhone 7 Plus. Lastly, the iPhone Edition will be the 10th anniversary iPhone rumoured to feature an edge-to-edge screen. The case makers got this news from Shenzhen from a couple of sources, who claimed that they’ve seen the packaging of the upcoming iPhones.
This news was first reported by 9to5mac. Furthermore, the case makers also revealed that they’ve started printed labels on the case already, meaning that this report seems to be a serious one.
It was long rumoured that Apple will announce three new iPhones this year, including an anniversary edition, which will be in-line with most of the 2017 smartphones. The so-called Apple iPhone Edition will also be the first iPhone to carry an OLED display, along with an Edge-to-Edge display.

Like Samsung, Apple ran out of time for embedding the fingerprint scanner under the display. That said, the smartphone will feature a 3D face recognition system, which will be the primary method to unlock the device. It is also said that an ‘L’ shaped battery will be found inside. Apple is going with a different shaped battery because they can deploy a large capacity cell inside the phone.
