Broadband is the most popular thing in India currently with almost every average user having a broadband connection. As per the data released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and broadband service providers, the total number of broadband subscribers increased from 261.31 million at the end of February 20 17 to 276.52 million at the end of March 2017 with a monthly growth rate of 5.82 percent.
Take a look at the segment-wise broadband growth in the month of March 2017:

The top five service providers have constituted a total market share of 87.48 percent till the end of March 2017. The top five broadband service providers in the country are Reliance Jio Infocomm (RJIL) with 108.68 million subs, Bharti Airtel with 49.13 million subs, Vodafone with 37.72 million, Idea Cellular with 24.70 million, and BSNL with 21.67 million.

Coming to the top five wired broadband service providers in the country BSNL has topped the chart with 9.98 million subscribers and is followed by Bharti Airtel with 2.08 million subs. Atria Convergence (ACT Fibernet) currently has 1.17 million users under its belt and the state-run telecom operator MTNL has 1.01 million. Local ISP YOU Broadband is fifth on the list with 0.62 million.
Speaking about the top five wireless broadband service providers- the Mukesh Ambani’s telco is leading with 108.88 million users consuming data, followed by the India’s largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel with just 47.04 million users using broadband services out of the 275 million subs.
