Rapid Expansion and Deployment Strategy

These institutions will have access to the 5G mobile networks during the Space Studies Program 2023 (SSP23), organized by the International Space University. TIM says it will provide exclusive 5G coverage for the duration of the SSP23.

As part of TIM’s comprehensive rollout plan, 21 neighbourhoods in Sao Jose dos Campos will initially be equipped with TIM’s 5G network by July, covering approximately 60 percent of the city. TIM says the activation of 5G in Sao Jose dos Campos is part of the wider deployment strategy across the country.

TIM has emerged as a top player in 5G technology since its implementation in mid-2022, boasting more than half of the country’s 5G antennas. TIM Brazil has deployed over 1,500 antennas in the Sao Paulo state, according to the statement.

TIM Brazil says, “TIM has a history of partnerships with the most relevant research and innovation centres in the country, and our presence at the Instituto Tecnologico de Aeronautica demonstrates our commitment to expanding 5G in Brazil. With over 5,000 antennas distributed across all states and rapid expansion, we continue to implement 5G projects throughout the country.”
