Like any other broadband service, Tikona 4G Home Broadband is a wireless, always-on internet connection that allows you to upload, download, stream content or web pages at high data speeds at any given point of time.

That said, Tikona’s 4G broadband, unlike other services is based on the 2300 Mhz spectrum in its 5 circles (Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, UP East and Up West). It utilizes 4th Generation OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing) & MIMO (Multiple-Input and Multiple-Output) technologies to provide broadband connectivity.

Currently, among all its circles, the Tikona 4G Home Broadband service is available only in Varanasi but the company plans to roll out its service across Gujarat, Rajasthan, UP East, UP West and Himachal Pradesh very soon.

As far as the Tikona’s 4G broadband plans are concerned, the cheapest plan starts at Rs. 400 (under Smart 4Mbps plans) which offers download speeds of 4Mbps with a FUP limit of 4GB. Once you reach the FUP (i.e., 4GB), the download speed will be slashed to 512Kbps. Customers can also select different plans which offer more FUP limit. Of course, you’ll have to spend more.

Tikona has recently raised Rs. 1,150 crore funding from Overseas Private Investment Corporation and is believed to extend its 4G Home Broadband services to 60 cities in the next 18 months.

Have you used the Tikona’s broadband services before? Did you like it? Would you choose Tikona’s broadband service or wait for Jio to launch its broadband services? Drop your thoughts in the comments section below.
