Tecno Spark 8 Gets a New Variant in India After Getting Few Upgrades

Transsion holdings have launched Tecno Spark 8’s new variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space in India on Wednesday. The previous version of the same model was launched in the month of September and the new version has had a few upgrades from the former. Along with RAM and storage, the new variant of Tecno Spark 8 will feature a different display, better Soc, and thinner form factor. According to the makers, the device will feature a new metal coding design for an enhanced premium feel.




Specifications of Tecno Spark 8

The newly unveiled Tecno Spark 8 runs on Android 11-based HiOS v7.6 and features a dual sim (nano) support. The display of the device is a 6.56-inch HD+ (720x1,612 pixels), Dot Notch, with a 20.15:9 aspect ratio, and 480nits of peak brightness.

The 2GB variant of the device was powered by MediaTek Helio A25 SoC which has now been replaced by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 gaming SoC in the latest version. Featuring 3GB of LPDDR4x RAM, the device will also benefit the gamers because of the HyperEngine Technology as claimed by the makers.

The camera specs of Tecno Spark 8 include a dual rear camera setup with a 16MP main camera with an f/1.8 lens. It is complemented with an AI lens with an f/2.0 aperture and a quad-LED flash. The handset features an 8MP front camera sensor also paired up with a dual-LED flash that is optimum for selfies.

The latest variant of Tecno Spark 8 will also feature a 32GB of eMMC 5.1 onboard storage expandable via a microSD card (up to 256GB) through a dedicated slot. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone is also backed by a 5000mAh powerful battery.

Price and Availability of Tecno Spark 8

In India, the price of Tecno Spark 8 has been set to Rs 9,299 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. The device comes in various color options which include Atlantic Blue, Iris Purple, and Turquoise Cyan, and has now been made available in retail stores for customers to purchase. The previous version of Tecno Spark 8 which came with 2GB RAM + 64GB storage was sold at a price of Rs 7,999.
