Introduction of 25G PON Technology
Nokia's fiber broadband solution, based on the Quillion chipset, allows Team Telecom Armenia to reuse existing fiber infrastructure while immediately delivering increased capacity. The solution supports a full range of PON technologies, from GPON to 25G PON and beyond, ensuring future network scalability. This means Nokia's fiber solution enables the operator to deliver 2.5, 10, and 25G broadband speeds over the existing fiber network.
Commenting on the deployment, Team Telecom Armenia said: "Being a national operator, we see this project as part of our mission to enhance broadband services not only in Yerevan but also to promote a new digital era across the entire country."
Connectivity and Services
According to the official release, the new 25G PON offering in Armenia will help Team Telecom Armenia provide faster connectivity to its customers while enabling it to offer new and enhanced services such as enterprise solutions, 5G mobile transport, and network wholesaling.
