Ever felt cheated after a cab or a rickshaw ride? Or wished you knew when the next local train to Mumbai Central was due? Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) has yet again launched a tailor-made, value-added service for its subscribers in Mumbai.
They can now access taxi, auto fares and the Local Train timetable on their Tata Indicom mobiles via premium sms service. To avail of this service subscribers need to type TAXI Auto followed by the meter reading, and send it to 58282, eg: TAXI 1.20 to get the correct day and night fare.
For the next available train schedule one has to simply type TRAIN followed by the source and destination and send it to 58282, eg: ‘TRAIN Andheri Dadar’. However this SMS will be charged Rs 3 per SMS. Speaking on the occasion, Shashank Pore, general manager, marketing, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra), said, “It is our firm belief that our customised services set us apart in this fiercely competitive industry.
