Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited’s (TTML) network has been rated as completely congestion-free for the fifth time in a row. The company said this in a statement, quoting a Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) report on congestion.TTML provides services in Maharashtra (including Mumbai) and Goa, and has operations on both CDMA (Tata Indicom) and GSM (Tata DoCoMo) platforms. It has over 10 million customers in Maharashtra and Goa.
In the report for first quarter of financial year 2010, TTML’s network has recorded zero congestion across all its Points of Interconnect (POI). POI is a switch which connects subscribers of one service provider to that of another. The report, which TRAI releases quarterly, gauges the seamless availability of telecom services.
“This is a matter of great pride for us that our network has once again been recognized as being completely congestion-free by the regulator. We have invested significantly in our network and the report stands testimony to all our efforts. This translates as an unbeatable advantage to our customers as it means crystal clear voice quality and super connectivity,” Haridev Khosla, President–Network, TTML said.
