Broadband

The need for high-speed broadband internet has skyrocketed with everyone staying inside their homes and the arrival of heavy data applications. Broadband internet service providers (ISPs) across India now provide plans offering up to 1 Gbps internet speed. Today, we are going to look at the top 500 Mbps plans in India from some of the major operators, including Tata Sky Broadband, JioFiber, and Spectra. All three companies have been in the market for quite some time now and offer internet services in multiple cities and states of India.

JioFiber 500 Mbps Broadband Plan

JioFiber is one of the largest broadband internet service providers in India. The company offers its 500 Mbps broadband plan for Rs 2,499 per month, which is not bad. With the plan, users get 3.3TB or 3,300GB of fair-usage-policy (FUP) data for the month. The company also offers several OTT benefits with the plan some of which include Amazon Prime Video, Netflix (Standard), Disney+ Hotstar, and ZEE5 Premium. There is also a free voice calling connection offered to the users. Further, users can claim a free Set-Top Box (STB) from the company.

Tata Sky Broadband 500 Mbps Plan

Tata Sky Broadband offers its 500 Mbps plan for Rs 2,300 per month. Tata Sky also offers 3,300GB FUP data for the month to the users. While the plan is slightly cheaper than JioFiber’s plan, it doesn’t offer OTT benefits to the users. So it is much better that you go for JioFiber’s 500 Mbps broadband plan if it is available in your area. Tata Sky Broadband promises 99.9% uptime of its internet networks and uniform download and upload speeds.

Spectra Broadband 500 Mbps Plan

Spectra offers its 500 Mbps broadband plan for Rs 1,599 per month. At the time of the purchase, users will also have to pay Rs 1,000 as installation fee, and the company charges another Rs 2,000 as a security deposit. So the total cost of the plan, if you purchase it for one month, will be Rs 1,599. Post the first month; you will only be charged Rs 1,599 every month for the 500 Mbps plan, which is not bad. Further, the company offers truly unlimited data to the users.

These are the top three 500 Mbps broadband plans you can purchase in India right now. There are other regional providers that offer a 500 Mbps broadband plan as well. But they wouldn’t be the right fit for this list because they don’t offer services in multiple cities/towns of India like JioFiber and other companies mentioned above.
