This partnership is Smartron's first step in their 'Powered by tronX' program to extend its tronX ecosystem to third-party vendors. For the unaware, tronX is India's first AI-powered IoT platform from Smartron.

With the Flipkart Billion Capture+ smartphone, Smatron will be delivering unlimited cloud storage that allows a user to save unlimited files to the cloud for free. Smartron says that, in the next tronX update, users will have access to a range of highly intelligent, localized and personalized experiences and services through the tronX launcher and predictive and assistive voice assistant optimized for Indian languages and accents.

Commenting about this partnership, Mahesh Lingareddy, Founder and Chairman, Smartron said, “As India’s first global technology OEM and IoT brand, Smartron is committed to building a robust product ecosystem for connected devices in India through “Powered by the tronX program. The tronX intelligent software platform is going to be instrumental in this endeavour. We are excited to be the Design and Manufacturing partner for Flipkart in bringing smartphones to Indians under Billion brand and are confident that this partnership will prove to be the first big step towards our vision of an enhanced indigenous ecosystem of connected devices and intelligent experiences which will be at par with global innovation standards.”

The Flipkart Billion Capture+ smartphone will be up for sale starting November 15. Priced at Rs. 10,999, the Capture+ smartphone offers decent specifications such as a 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 625 SoC, 3GB/4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of internal storage, dual rear cameras, and a 3500mAh battery with fast charging support.

Having said that, this is Smartron's first partnership with a third-party brand, and the company is even aiming to partner with other brands across various market segment to Design and Engineer devices.

Chakri is a go-to guy for your next smartphone recommendation. Back in his engineering days, he used to play with smartphones by installing custom ROMs and that passion got him into the tech industry. He still goes nuts about a smartphone knocking his door for review. Currently managing everything at Telecom Talk, Chakri is trying to master PUBG Mobile in his free time.
