Key Features of Singtel's Quantum-Safe Network

Singtel said its Quantum-Safe Network (QSN) supports a range of network and security devices, ensuring easy and seamless integration and enhanced connectivity for enterprises that aim to secure their communications across the island.

The NQSN+ extends quantum-safe security to new applications, including identity, mobility, and authentication services. It aims to secure communications and critical data against emerging quantum threats.

"Singtel has always played a central role in our nation's security. Though quantum computing may be in its nascent stages, it's fast gaining velocity across critical information sectors, especially banking, healthcare, and government services. We want to ensure Singapore is ready for it," Singtel said.

"That's why we specially curated this program to equip enterprises with the relevant skills and knowledge so they can take the necessary steps to future-proof their critical networks against potential quantum threats."

Three-Phase Pilot Program for Enterprises

Singtel was appointed by the Infocomm Media Development Authority last year to develop Singapore’s first NQSN+ to fortify the nation's resilience against quantum threats in the next decade, the official release said.

Singtel is launching a three-phase pilot program to guide enterprises through the adoption of quantum-safe technologies. This includes workshops, integration testbeds, and live trials, ensuring risk-free and seamless implementation. The program aims to build awareness, validate interoperability, and develop tailored quantum-safe use cases for various industries, the company said.

Part of Broader Initiative

Singtel mentioned that its Quantum-Safe Network is part of a broader initiative to provide secure, business-critical data networks and enhanced flexibility as a managed service.
