Silknet Expands Fibre Network Coverage in Georgia
Georgian operator Silknet announced that it has expanded the coverage of its fiber-optic network. With this expansion, Silknet’s high-speed fixed internet and television services are now available in Saguramo and nearby villages, the operator said in a statement on Wednesday.

Silknet Expands Fiber-Optic Network

According to the company, Silknet’s fixed broadband and pay-TV services are now accessible in the villages of Saguramo, Akhalsofeli, Arashenda, Navdaraantkari, and Kotoraantkari.

Residents of these villages can choose between optical internet service, Silk TV, or a dual offer for greater convenience and accessibility, Silknet said.

Mobile Internet Speeds and Voice Call Quality

In early August, Silknet reported that a study by the Communications Commission, conducted in Tbilisi in July, revealed that the company delivered mobile internet download speeds of 24.7 Mbps. Additionally, Silknet has the highest rate of successful voice calls, the company said, citing the quality report.
