Samsung Galaxy S8 to Feature Snapdragon 835 SoC and 6GB of RAM: Rumor Roundup

2016 started as a promissory note with the Galaxy S7 for the South Korean smartphone giant, Samsung. As the year slowly passed on, there was a catastrophe created by the Galaxy Note 7. After a complete recall process, the phone was ultimately discontinued, but not before incurring a huge loss for the company.

With this major issue, Samsung will be already looking for their upcoming flagship phone- the Galaxy S8, which is scheduled to release at every MWC. And, as expected, rumors were saying that Samsung will launch the phone at MWC 2017.

Nevertheless, there are several other rumors as well regarding the phone and its hardware. But, do make a note that Samsung is currently testing various prototypes of the Galaxy S8 and as a result, many of these rumors won’t make a cut into the final design.

Let’s begin with the design itself. All the rumors till date suggested that Samsung will stick to the metal and glass body combination to the Galaxy S8 as well. Samsung is the only brand which is currently offering wireless charging with their flagship phones. So, to retain this feat, the company must stick to the glass body.

Of late, we have been listening rumors about a new variant of the Galaxy S8, the Galaxy S8 Plus with a massive 6-inch display. Now, this will raise several eyebrows regarding the Galaxy Note series existence. Yes, a new rumor appeared today revealed that Samsung might consider killing the Note series and the leak also suggested that the S8 Plus will feature the trademark- S Pen as well.
