Samsung has launched a new smartphone, namely, the Samsung Galaxy On Nxt 16GB, which is a low storage variant of the already existing Samsung Galaxy On Nxt smartphone. The Galaxy On Nxt 16GB will be available on e-commerce portal Flipkart starting January 3, which is the same day Flipkart will be holding its Flipkart 2018 Mobiles Bonanza sale. Flipkart has also listed the Galaxy On Nxt 16GB and going by the listing, the specifications of the newly announced variant is similar to that of earlier Galaxy On Nxt smartphone. To recall, Samsung launched the Galaxy On Nxt smartphone back in October 2016 at Rs 18,490, and the new variant comes with same specifications, minus the storage.

Samsung Galaxy On Nxt 16GB Specifications and Features

The Galaxy On Nxt 16GB flaunts the same 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. That said, it's a TFT panel and not an AMOLED panel, which Samsung uses in most of its smartphones. This dual-SIM smartphone is powered by Samsung's own Exynos 7870 chipset, which works in tandem with 3GB of RAM. As stated, the new variant comes with 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB with a microSD card. The device is already available in two more storage options- 32GB and 64GB.

Cameras in the smartphone include a 13MP rear camera with an LED flash, along with an 8MP front-facing camera which doesn't have any LED flash support. The rear camera is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps.

The smartphone still runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, which is dated considering we're now officially in 2018. Samsung is yet to roll out Android 7.0 Nougat update to the smartphone. Also, there's no official confirmation on when Samsung is planning to roll out the update. This entire package is backed by a 3300mAh battery and weighs 167grams.

The Galaxy On Nxt 16GB comes with connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and micro USB port. Having said that, the new storage variant is still priced at a steeper rate, and there are many better alternatives available in the similar range from vendors such as Xiaomi, Motorola, Tenor, etc.
