Samsung India unveiled its latest Galaxy On Max smartphone in the country. The On Max is the successor to last year's Galaxy On8, which shares a lot of similarities with the Galaxy J series. Samsung claims that the Galaxy On series is one of the best selling range of online exclusive smartphones in the country.

Same as the case with Samsung Galaxy On8 and other On series smartphones, the On Max is also exclusive to Flipkart and retails for Rs. 16,900 in two colours- black and gold. Samsung is betting big on the camera of the Galaxy On Max. The device comes with a 13MP rear and front camera. The rear camera has an aperture of f/1.7, which captures more light in the images. Also, the Social Camera, which Samsung introduced with the Galaxy J7 Max and Galaxy J7 Pro is present in the Galaxy On Max as well.

The Galaxy On Max sports an industry-first Social Camera Mode for people who like to ‘share on-the-go’. The Instant Share & Edit feature enables instant sharing of pictures with a single click on pinned social media applications. Live filters and cool Indian-themed stickers enhance the overall experience of clicking and sharing images. The phone also features the Samsung Pay Mini, a ‘Simple, Secure and Almost Everywhere’ payment system, which was unveiled recently and is a watered down version of the Samsung Pay.

As the name itself suggests, the Galaxy On Max flaunts a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, encased in a metal uni-body design. Samsung has fuelled the On Max with a MediaTek Helio P20 chipset, clocked at 2.39GHz, which is the only letdown. The chipset is paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card.

The Galaxy On Max measures 8.1mm in thickness and is backed by a 3300mAh battery. Along with Samsung's TouchWiz (based on Android 7.1 Nougat), the device will deliver decent battery life. The device has connectivity options such as 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

“Today consumers use their smartphones to capture memories. Galaxy On Max is the perfect device for this, enabling users to click brilliant photographs under all light conditions. It also offers the option of sharing pictures on-the-go with a single click. Galaxy On Max will redefine the way people click and share pictures,” said Mr. Sandeep Singh Arora, Vice President, Online Business, Samsung India.
