The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G will be available for purchase from today onwards without any registration. By the looks of it, we can assume that it is a celebration for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2015. Although there is no word on how many units will be available for the buyers, but Xiaomi has affirmed that it has “sufficient stock.”
As of now, the company has not started selling the device, but the page is expected to go live soon. The Redmi Note 4G comes for a price of Rs. 9,999. Xiaomi has been following the flash sale model in India via Flipkart, and offline sales model via exclusive Airtel stores.
This is not the first time that Xiaomi is selling the Redmi Note 4G without any registrations. Last month too, on the Republic Day, the company organized a similar sale.
As a reminder, the LTE-enabled smartphone is powered by a 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 305 GPU and 2GB RAM. It features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with 1280×720 pixels resolution, 8GB of internal storage, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, and a 3,100mAh battery. The phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI 5 on top. The connectivity options include 4G, 3G, single-SIM, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
Taking a look at the past few flash sales and open sales, it is becoming evident that the demand for the Redmi Note 4G is going down, but the shrunken demand did not stop Xiaomi from importing the device in bulk into the country. Xiaomi always had a tendency of announcing the 'record seconds' its products go out-of-stock, but since last two sales it is not announcing the record time. It is not surprising that the company now affirms that it has “sufficient stock” of the smartphone.
