Reliance Jio introduced a JioPhone specific plan of Rs 49 last week, saying that only JioPhone users can recharge this tariff plan. And rightly so because Jio already had a Rs 153 plan designed for JioPhone users itself. However, you can use the Rs 49 recharge plan on any normal 4G supported smartphone, as per a new report. All you have to do is recharge the Jio SIM card inserted on the JioPhone and insert the same SIM card on any other 4G smartphone you want and continue using the same benefits.
This news is reported by IndiaToday as the publication successfully verified this method. Unfortunately, we don't have a JioPhone with us to verify with this method, but it seems like this workaround is a legit one. Maybe you can also use the Rs 153 JioPhone plan on other 4G smartphones too with the same trick.
Reliance Jio disrupted the entire Indian telecom sector with this JioPhone specific Rs 49 tariff plan as it offers 1GB of high-speed data and unlimited voice calls without any FUP limit for 28 days. And with this little workaround, you can use the same Rs 49 plan on any 4G supported smartphone.
The report also highlighted that the SIM card should be activated on a JioPhone itself. And this trick works only with the SIM cards activated on a JioPhone. Of course, Jio doesn't allow you to use a normal Jio 4G SIM card with the JioPhone.
For the standard Jio 4G SIM holders, the company has announced an entry-level Rs 98 tariff plan which offers 2GB of high-speed data and unlimited voice calls without any FUP for 28 days. We will verify this trick at the earliest and update this article if it works out, but for now, you can try out the same and comment down below.
