Reliance Jio also made one change to the Jio Happy New Year. As expected, the services are not going to end today as Jio has extended the deadline of Happy New Year until April 15, 2017. Also, users can enroll under the JioPrime subscription plan till April 15, which means another two weeks from now.

One of the biggest announcement made by the company is the new 'Jio Summer Surprise' plan. This plan is a gimmicky one. One thing is clear- users whoever enroll under the JioPrime scheme and recharges with the Rs. 303 plan will get additional three months of complimentary free services, which means a total of four (three+Rs. 303 plan for one month) more months of free 4G services at just Rs. 402.

The paid tariff plans will be applicable only after the complimentary three months of service, i.e., from July. Nevertheless, it is still unclear whether the new users of Jio joining after April 1 are eligible under to recharge with the Jio Summer Surprise offer.

Reliance Jio in a statement said as “In just one month, over 72 million Jio customers have signed up for Jio Prime Offer. We, at Jio, are honoured and grateful for this tremendous response. I want to personally thank you for choosing Jio, and for being a founding member of the Jio movement."

With that said, Jio is playing the game yet again by offering four months of free services at just Rs. 402. Now, it will be interesting to see how incumbent operators react to this new Jio Summer Surprise plan.

What do you think of this new plan? Will you pay Rs 402 for additional four months of free benefits? Let us know in the comments section below.
