The company has imported these 4G-equipped SIM cards from China, which hints at its upcoming 4G services. The data shows the pricing of each SIM card, ranging from Rs. 19 to Rs. 22. The import data also reveals that Jio is importing 95,466 units of SIMS cards as a part of its “Reliance Jio Red Triple SIM card”. Until now, the company has procured more than 5,70,466 SIM cards from China.
Moreover, Jio has also sealed a deal with manufacturers such as LG and Lenovo, for selling VoLTE handsets. The import data is a clear proof that Reliance is preparing well in advance for the launch of its 4G service.
