Reliance Jio’s Twitter customer support team today confirmed that JioPhones will be delivered to six million users who have pre-booked the device by Diwali. Tweets from Reliance Jio official handle also revealed that the company will deliver the devices in a phased manner to avoid any kind of inconvenience. “We have started the delivery of JioPhones in a phased manner to avoid inconvenience to our customers. Please be assured that all customers who have done the pre-booking of JioPhone will receive it by Diwali,” read a tweet.

Furthermore, Jio also said that the pre-booked customers will receive a message with store address and pickup date as soon as the device is ready for delivery. “We will send you an SMS informing about the store address and pickup date as soon as it is ready for delivery,” further read the tweet.

Having said that, the status of the order will be soon available on 18008908900. Customers can dial the provided telephoto number and get the status of the order.

To recall, Reliance Jio announced the JioPhone back at the company’s AGM meeting in July 2017. The effective price of the JioPhone is zero, but Jio is collecting a security deposit of Rs. 1,500 to avoid any misuse of the device.

Recently, the operator also updated the terms and conditions related to JioPhone, which made some purchasers go crazy because Jio says that every customer has to keep recharging the JioPhone with the Rs. 153 plan, otherwise, Jio has the right to return back the device and even penalise the user.

Also, customers can return back the device before the three-year lock-period, but the company will be charging a small amount as penalty. You can read the complete terms and conditions of the JioPhone by heading over here.

I got message that your Jio phone is ready to pick up. When I went for it, store keeper refused to give phone saying that you have booked phone online. We are distributing phone only to offline customers.
