Reliance Jio International Service Packs for Travellers: September 2024 Edition

The Rs 1,102 Global Pack with Wi-Fi calling offers IR usage of Rs 933.90 with a validity of 28 days. Jio says that customers can benefit from Wi-Fi calling, which includes incoming calls from any country at Re 1 per min, outgoing calls to India at Re 1 per min, and video calls to any Jio number at Re 1 per min (with data deducted from the existing base plan).

As a prepaid customer, you must purchase an IR pack at least once to activate IR services and use IR services at PayGo rates. Jio ISD Pack

Jio has one Global ISD Pack that is only applicable for making international calls or sending SMS from India to around 230 countries across 14,693 country area codes at Pay as You Go discount rates. The Rs 501 Global ISD Pack offers a monetary value of Rs 424.58, along with 5 international SMS, with a validity of 28 days. This value can only be used for making ISD calls at applicable tariffs and sending ISD SMS at Rs 5 per SMS. To make an Inmarsat/Satellite call, a talk-time balance of more than Rs 600 is required.

Jio In-Flight Packs

Jio offers three In-Flight Communication (IFC) packs that allow users to stay connected while flying at over 20,000 feet. Customers need to recharge with Jio prepaid in-flight communication packs before boarding the flight. Jio says the IR service will be activated automatically upon recharging with an in-flight pack. Customers with active IFC packs can use data, outgoing voice calls, and SMS (wherever applicable) according to the pack entitlement.

Jio provides IFC packs at three different price points, each with a validity of 1 day. According to Jio, data and SMS services are available on all partner airlines; however, voice services are only available on select airlines.

The Rs 121 pack includes 100 minutes of Wi-Fi calls (outgoing calls to India and incoming from anywhere) with a validity of 2 days, while the Rs 521 pack includes 500 minutes of Wi-Fi calls with a validity of 10 days.
