Reliance Jio, the number one telecom operator of India, has removed two very affordable prepaid plans from its offerings. The changes are already visible on the website, and this move can be a calibrated approach from the company towards the JioPhone Next launch. Jio has stopped offering two JioPhone plans to its customers. The plans which have been removed are Rs 39 and Rs 69 plans. Both the plans fall under the super affordable category and have been discontinued on a PAN-India basis. On top of this, Reliance Jio has also discontinued the ‘Buy 1 Get 1 Free’ offer from its multiple plans, which the telco had introduced a few months back to help people get through the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reliance Jio Rs 39, Rs 69 Plans Won’t Be Available Anymore
The Rs 39 plan from Reliance Jio used to come with 100MB of daily data for 14 days along with 100 SMS and unlimited voice calling to any network within India. At the same time, Reliance Jio’s Rs 69 plan used to come with 0.5GB of daily data and unlimited voice calling with 100 SMS for 14 days as well.
Neither of the above-mentioned plans is available for the customers of the telco on its website or the mobile application anymore. Reliance Jio might have discontinued these two JioPhone plans because it is launching the new JioPhone Next tomorrow.
Note that Jio has also discontinued the Buy 1 Get 1 free offer from its multiple JioPhone plans. This benefit is used to queue an extra recharge for the customers for free when they paid for one recharge. This offer was rolled out by the company to help people who didn’t have a lot of money during the pandemic and weren’t able to go out and earn as well because of the pandemics. It will be interesting to see if the JioPhone Next comes with a special set of prepaid plans as well.
