Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Director Akash Ambani has committed to developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure in Jamnagar within a span of 24 months. Alongside Isha and Anant Ambani, he pledged to work collectively for RIL's growth. During the 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in August 2024, the Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, Mukesh Ambani, announced plans to establish gigawatt-scale AI-ready data centers in Jamnagar, Gujarat, powered entirely by Reliance's green energy.

AI Infrastructure in Jamnagar
"AI infrastructure that we have commenced working in Jamnagar will make not only Jamnagar a leader in Al infrastructure but will also place it amongst the top rank in the world. We have already commenced building this in Jamnagar and we want to complete it in true Jamnagar style in record time as we have always done in Jamnagar in 24 months," said Akash Ambani.

National AI Infrastructure
"We are committed to democratising AI, offering powerful AI models and services to everyone in India at the most affordable prices. To achieve this, we are laying the groundwork for a truly national AI infrastructure," said Mukesh Ambani, during the AGM.
To support Jio's "AI Everywhere for Everyone vision," Mukesh Ambani also announced plans to create multiple AI inference facilities across various locations throughout the country.

RIL and Nvidia AI Partnership
In October last year, RIL and the US-based chip company Nvidia announced a partnership to develop AI infrastructure in India. As per the agreement, Nvidia will supply its Blackwell AI processors for a one-gigawatt data centre that Reliance is building in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
Jio Brain
Jio, Reliance’s telecommunications business, is driving AI adoption through Jio Brain, a comprehensive suite of tools and platforms that cover the entire AI lifecycle. "Jio Brain enables us to accelerate AI adoption across Jio, driving faster decisions, more accurate predictions, and better understanding of customer needs," Mukesh Ambani said during the 47th AGM.
