Xiaomi Launches 3GB RAM Variant of Redmi Note 8 at Rs 9,799, Exclusive to Offline Market for Now

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 can now be purchased in the offline market as well. Unlike the online market, the Chinese company has launched a base 3GB+32GB storage variant of the Redmi Note 8, which will retail for Rs 9,799 in the country. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 was launched in India last month in two models- 4GB+64GB priced at Rs 9,999 and 6GB+128GB model that costs Rs 12,999. Xiaomi surprised everyone by including 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage even on the base variant. The 3GB+32GB storage variant is priced at Rs 9,799, which may sound on the higher side because it’s available only in the offline market for now. Xiaomi did not reveal whether it’s planning to launch the new variant in the offline market as well. If it launches, then the phone will likely retail for Rs 8,999.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Now Has a 3GB+32GB Model

The news was reported by 91mobiles, saying that the new model will be offline-only for now. The Redmi Note 8 is the current best sub-Rs 10,000 smartphone out there. As for the pricing, the 3GB+32GB model can be picked up via offline stores for Rs 9,799. Xiaomi is yet to start selling the 4GB and 6GB RAM models of the Redmi Note 8 via offline stores. Whenever the two models reach the offline stores, the prices will be tad higher compared to those of online prices.

For the unaware, the Redmi Note 8 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage is priced at Rs 9,999 only, followed by the 6GB+128GB model at Rs 12,999. Even after a month of launch, both the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro smartphones are still available for purchase via flash sales. This could be the reason why Xiaomi brought a 3GB+32GB variant of the smartphone to the offline market.
