Xiaomi Redmi K30 will be launching in China tomorrow and the company has revealed more details about the smartphone. As we already know, the Redmi K30 will come in both 5G and 4G network variants with the former featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. Xiaomi is not talking much about the 4G variant of the Redmi K30, but most likely, it will feature identical specs as the Redmi K30 5G, albeit the processor. Ahead of the launch, Xiaomi confirmed that the Redmi K30 would run MIUI 11 based on Android 10 out of the box and there will be a 20MP primary shooter on the front. Other confirmed features of the smartphone include Hi-Res Audio support, dual-frequency GPS similar to other Xiaomi flagship smartphones, and lastly, it will have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Xiaomi Redmi K30 to Come With MIUI 11 Out of the Box

Xiaomi has done a pretty decent job this year in rolling out the MIUI 11 update to its smartphones. The Chinese company has already rolled out to the much-awaited MIUI 11 to 26 smartphones in India and a plethora of phones also received it in China as well. On Weibo, Xiaomi officially confirmed that the upcoming Redmi K30 would boot Android 10-based MIUI 11 out of the box. Notably, both the 5G and 4G variants of the handset will come with the same MIUI 11.

Xiaomi also confirmed the Redmi K30 would come in a 512GB storage option. According to various reports, Xiaomi will likely launch an Exclusive Edition of the Redmi K30 tomorrow which will come with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Going by the Snapdragon 765 processor, the Redmi K30 is a mid-range handset, but the inclusion of 512GB storage means the price will go over 3000 Yuan. The 4G variant will likely max out at 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

As for the other features, the upcoming Redmi K30 will retain the 3.5mm headphone jack from its predecessor which will come as a relief for gamers as the phone is said to support 30W fast charging. It will have a 20MP primary front-facing camera, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC support, Hi-Res support, 3D four curved glass back panel, and it will arrive in at least three colours.

Snapdragon 765G AnTuTu Score Indicates a Massive Performance Jump

A leaked screenshot of the Redmi K30 also revealed the phone will run on Snapdragon 765G chipset, not the standard the Snapdragon 765. The AnTuTu score of the smartphone has been making rounds on the web; Based on the leaked image, the Redmi K30 managed to achieve an AnTuTu score 302847, which indicated the Snapdragon 765G' prowess. The Snapdragon 730G chipset phones scored a maximum of 255000 in AnTuTu benchmark and several other Snapdragon 845 chipset phones used to achieve a score between 290000 and 320000. The CPU performance of the Snapdragon 765G may fall in line with the Snapdragon 845 SoC, but it will fall behind the latter in the GPU department.

Redmi K30 India Launch Imminent as the Phone Receives BIS Certification

In other news, the Redmi K30 will reach the Indian market very soon as it received BIS certification already. The Redmi K30 with model number M1912G7BI already received BIS certification in India, hinting at an imminent launch. Unlike the 5G variant of the Redmi K30 which is launching in China, the Redmi K30 in India will have 4G network support. Additionally, Xiaomi itself confirmed the Redmi K30 would come in two variants- 5G and 4G.
