Two new unannounced mobile processors from Qualcomm have been leaked; the Snapdragon 618 and the Snapdragon 620. Both these mobile SoCs (system-on-a-chip) feature recently announced 64-bit ARM Cortex-A72 CPU cores.
According to the leaked image, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 618 (MSM8956) is a hexa-core SoC featuring two ARM Cortex-A72 CPU cores in combination with four ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores. On the other hand, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 620, which is an octa-core SoC, features four ARM Cortex-A72 cores in a big.LITTLE arrangement with four ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores. Both these SoCs are fabricated using 28nm HPm process with a physical size of 14 x 14 mm.
They feature a new Adreno 510 GPU, which is able enough to drive QHD displays and wirelessly stream to full HD displays. These chipsets also support 4K video playback, dual 13-megapixel cameras, or a single 21-megapixel camera with 4K video recording abilities. These chips also feature LP-DDR3 RAM compatibility, eMMC 5.1 interface for microSD card slots, microUSB v2.0 connectors, LTE Cat. 6 connectivity, HD Audio, Wi-Fi ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, and FM radio.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 was leaked earlier, but with custom 'Taipan' CPU cores, so you should take this information with a pinch of salt.
