Rumours about the upcoming OnePlus 6 have now started coming thick and fast. Today, a new report has revealed the key specifications and AnTuTu benchmark score of the smartphone. The OnePlus 6, as everyone must have expected will come with a model number A6000, like the previous iteration OnePlus devices. And the device scored a whopping 276510 in the AnTuTu benchmark, beating the previous best score of 273741 achieved by the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s, which is confirmed to launch on March 27. Alongside the benchmark score, the report also revealed some of the key specifications of the smartphone and the first and foremost surprising one is the presence of 19:9 display.
This essentially means that the OnePlus 6 will have a notch at the top, in-line with the recent live images leak. Without the notch, the display will have an 18:9 aspect ratio, same as the OnePlus 5T. With that said, we have seen numerous leaks of Oppo R15 smartphone until now, and it's fair enough to assume that the OnePlus 6 will resemble the R15 like how the OnePlus 5 resembled Oppo R11 last year. But OnePlus will make some cosmetic changes to its phone though. However, this is not we want, and let's hope that OnePlus comes out with a unique design, rather than following its parent company.
And of course, the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform, which is the reason why it achieved that score. Folks at Android Central managed to achieve these benchmark images from a source close to OnePlus.
Talking about the previous leaks, at the end of last week, the OnePlus 6 was surfaced online for the first time on the web. After seeing that leak, everyone was taken into surprise as the phone has a notch at the top. The notch will appear on various other devices, but the irony here is the company's co-founder, Carl Pei killed the rumours about the Oppo R15 being previewed as the OnePlus 6.
But it now seems like the OnePlus 6 will have a notch at the top, like many other upcoming phones such as the LG Judy, Huawei P20 & P20 Pro etc. Besides the notch, it was leaked earlier that the phone will have a glass back, hinting at the possible wireless charging inclusion. And it will have a dual-camera setup at the back.
Having said that, the benchmark leak seems to be a real one, but the earlier leaked images could be of the prototype of the OnePlus 6 as the company prepares a lot of models before finalising one. But the notch seems to appear on the OnePlus 6, either ways. The phone is expected to arrive at the end of June 2018.
