OnePlus One 16GB announced in India for Rs 18,999, to go on sale on Feb 24

Soon after unleashing its plans for announcing the 16GB variant in India, OnePlus has finally gone official with it today. The 16GB variant of OnePlus One has been unveiled in India for a price of Rs 18,999, and it will be available via sale on Amazon India tomorrow.

The pricing is in sync with the weekend reports regarding the launch. As we all are aware of OnePlus’s invite system strategy smartphones, the company clarified on the invite system through its blog post along with the launch details.




OnePlus OneDue to its decent pricing of 16GB variant at Rs 18,999, and the 64GB variant at Rs 21,999, OnePlus gets an upper hand over its rival, Xiaomi. Interestingly, the Mi 4 is also available in 16GB and 64GB variants, at Rs 19,999 and Rs 23,999 respectively, but the pricing is more than OnePlus One.

Here is a recap of specifications, the OnePlus One comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The phone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front camera, and a 3,100mAh battery. It runs on Cyanogen OS 11, but will soon be upgraded to the OnePlus’s in-house Oxygen OS.

Following the famous invite system that the company has been practicing, Indian users will require an invite in order to purchase the Silk White OnePlus One. A single invite can be used to purchase either of 16GB or 64GB variant.
